Dr. Aubrey Zins

Sport & Performance Psychology Services

Performance extends far beyond physical capacity.

Elevate your performance by training your mind. By doing the internal work, you will see external results.

Dr. Aubrey Zins is a sport & performance psychologist.

I am passionate about helping people enhance their performance by building confidence, overcoming mental barriers, and performing at their hightest potential- both in sports and in life.

I use evidence-based mental skills training to help improve and enhance confidence, focus, emotion regulation, consistency, performance anxiety, and much more. My approach is practical, supportive, and tailored to each individual.

If you’re not changing it, you’re choosing it.

You can be physically prepared & still struggle mentally.

  • Overthinking during competition

  • Losing confidence after mistakes

  • Feeling anxious and/or pressure before performances

  • Inconsistent results despite strong training

  • Difficulty staying focused

  • Losing control of emotions before, during, and/or after performances

If any of this sounds familiar- you’re not alone. And more importantly, it’s trainable!

I help athletes, teams, & high performers develop the mental skills needed to perform at their best.

Through mental performance coaching, you’ll learn how to:

  • Build lasting confidence

  • Stay composed under pressure

  • Refocus and reset quickly after mistakes

  • Strengthen concentration

  • Create routines that support peak performance

This isn’t about mindset- it’s about results.

I work with-

Athletes:

Looking to elevate their overall performance by strengthening their mental game.

Teams:

Wanting to build strong, mentally resilient athletes and team culture.

High Performers and Adults:

Who want to apply sport and performance psychology strategies to their everday life, work, and personal growth.

  • "I skated with the older guys today and felt unreal. My coach went up to my advisor and told him I looked really good. I didn't feel myself getting down once, which is unreal. Kind of insane to actually see the progress happening. Makes me feel really good about myself."

-C.B. (17yo male prep hockey player)

  • "This is well past due as I have been meaning to email you for a while now to say thank you for all you did for [client]. She won bars, beam, and all-around at her state meet last month, but more importantly, she was able to manage her nerves and anxiety thanks to the time she spent with you. As you know, she was competing by herself and had her two coaches with her. Prior to the meet starting, they both came up to me separately and told me how calm [client] was (which was very abnormal for her). After the meet, [client] told me she was anything but calm, but was able to channel it appropriately. So thank you for all you did for her."

-M.D. (mom of 12-year-old female gymnast)

  • "I wanted to share with you that [client] played some of the best volleyball I have ever seen her play in Chicago. She has been doing her 'homework' every night, and whether or not it was her time to breathrough or it was a combination of that with your sessions and exercises, she did wonderful."

-M.B. (mom of 12yo female volleyball player)

  • "[Client] told me he felt 1% more confident just by doing the session."

-H.G. (mom of 12-year-old male hockey player)

  • "You have grown so much over the last year. We can tell you work hard and you want to improve. I am so impressed with your work."
